Jason Rentschler

System Engineer

Finding the right solution for clients is what Jason loves most about his work at AV Science. His knowledge and experience with carpentry and auto repair allow him to approach projects from a unique perspective. Taking long walks with his dog, Pumba is his favorite pastime.
 

Laurie Elkin

President

Numbers are Laurie’s first love. Her career at AV Science began in 2003 when she became its bookkeeper. Nine years later, she bought the company. Her numbers obsession continues today, but she is equally passionate about the dedicated team she has built. Since the beginning, Laurie has fostered a working environment of open communication and respect, which she feels has led to much of AVScience’s success. Away from work, Laurie is an avid traveler who enjoys reading fictional thrillers, cooking and painting with watercolors.

Choranay Hem

Install Specialist

Choranay was born and raised right outside of Boston, MA. He found his love for computers and technology at an early age. When he was 13, he broke down and put together his first PC. Choranay spent some years learning how to program, then switched to Networking. He had his first IT job when he was 17. Choranay competed in Tae Kwon Do for 10+ years and became a lead instructor in NY. His favorite sport is soccer, which he’s been playing since he was 4, played throughout high school and college and is still currently playing competitively.

Marc Elkin

Vice President

With over 45 years of audio/video experience, Marc has been applying his special set of skills to his work at AV Science since 2012. Having experienced the evolution of home theater from CRT projectors to laser projectors and from stereo sound to Dolby Atmos, Marc is an invaluable part of the team. When not designing or programming a new system, Marc can be found traveling with his wife or indulging in some Trader Joe’s Coffee Bean Blast Ice Cream.

Todd Jones

Sales consultant

Todd started in Home Theater as the new manager of Earfood Fine Audio and Video in 1994. As he transitioned into broadcast television and Information technology, he just couldn’t shake the idea of an amazing theater in his basement. He’s been building his home theater that started with a 27-inch TV over 30 years ago. Today, Todd tells people they don’t watch a movie in the “Jones Family Theater,” they EXPERIENCE it. He shares the experience with his community any chance he can.

Keith Mundy

Sales consultant

Keith’s home theater journey started 40 years ago with a fateful trip into good ol’ Circuit City after he had gotten his first “real” job. He was so excited to get his first “surround sound” system. He’s learned a lot of lessons along the way and is now looking to share his knowledge with others to help them achieve their dream system. When not listening to music or watching a movie, Keith’s into fitness and physically challenging activities. He also loves a good brew and a well put-together old fashioned too!
