Prismasonic Anamorphic lenses

Powered by custom made, high precision optics, Cinomorph lenses by Prismasonic bring a real cinematic atmosphere in your own home theater the way the director intended.

P-100 Series

The P-100 lens produces a variable horizontal expand to the projected image from factors of 1.0 up to 1.35, thus supporting perfectly the constant height 2.40:1 Cinemascope setup. An internal ‘pass’ mode makes it possible to produce a normal wide screen picture with a 1.78:1 source material, without removing the lens. Also the other aspect ratios, such as 1.85:1 and 2.0:1 are possible due to this unique feature of a variable Prismasonic lens. This all means that despite of the aspect of a source material, your projector always presents a constant picture height with the full panel resolution, exactly as in real movie theaters.

The prisms of P-100 series have been finished using the highest possible specification parameters during the manufacturing process. In order to correct for chromatic aberration, the product has achromatic optics, which means that both lenses are made by two glass materials of different optical properties. All the air-glass surfaces have broad band anti-reflection coatings to prevent reflections and ghosting, and to maximize the light output of the projector. The additional optical Front Element corrects the focus of an anamorphic expand, simultaneously for all horizontal expand factors.

The lens is available in black finished aluminum. A professional table stand has a friction based, individual controls for both height and tilt adjustments. Both shelf and ceiling mounting are conceivable. As a nice feature the housing has a removable bottom plate, making it convenient to clean the optics from both sides.

P-100M

This manual controlled lens has two knobs on top to adjust the aspect ratio. The one control position expands the image to fill the 2.40:1 screen, while the other returns it back to 1.78:1. In addition to the instructive label printings there are adjustable terminal stops for both prisms and both modes, so the initial setup can easily be operated to match the different screens and projectors perfectly.

P-100R

The operation of this remote controlled lens is straightforward. One button of remote controller expands the image to fill a 2.40:1 screen, while the other returns it back to 1.78:1. There are adjustable terminal stops for both prisms and both modes, so the initial setup can easily be operated to match the different screens and projectors perfectly.

The motors are very silent, and it takes around two seconds for prisms to go from ‘pass’ to ‘wide’ position. This speed also enables to stop the prisms accurately to the intermediate positions, such as 1.85:1 or 2.0:1. The remote controller has two powerful IR LEDs, which can effortlessly control the lens, even in the very largest theater rooms. The IR commands can also be transferred to a universal remote control.

C-100 Series

The C-100 lens with a cylindrical optics produces a fixed 1.35 x horizontal expand to the projected image, thus supporting perfectly a constant height 2.40:1 setup. Very large aperture 4-element optics allows throw ratios down to 1.25. To adjust a razor sharp focus of no compromise, the lens has a continuous focus correction for throw distances down to 2 meters, and the focus does not change when removing the lens for 1.78:1 material.

The optics of C-100 series has been finished  using the highest possible specification parameters during the manufacturing process. In order to correct for chromatic aberration, the product has achromatic optics, which means that the both lenses are made by two glass materials of different optical properties. All the air-glass surfaces have broad band anti-reflection coatings to prevent reflections and ghosting, and to maximize the light output of the projector.

The black, aluminum-finished C-100 series lenses have a socket cap screw in the front panel for precise adjusting of focus. Both shelf and ceiling mounting are useable. As a nice feature, the housing has a removable bottom plate, thus it’s convenient to clean the optics from both sides.

C-100M

This manual controlled lens has a manual controlled lift stand, which can shift the lens aside from the beam when watching 1.78:1 material. There is a pair of adjustable slide locks for both ‘in’ and ‘out’ positions to match different projectors and setups perfectly, and to make mode switching very quick and precise. Since the lift system uses constant force springs for neutralizing gravity force, it is very convenient and light to move up the lens manually by hand on the upper slide locks. On the other hand, the spring system allows lens to land on the lower locks very smoothly.

This lens has a remote controlled lift stand, which shifts the lens aside from the beam when watching 1.78:1 material. Moreover, the slide system has a pair of adjustable slide locks for both ‘in’ and ‘out’ positions to match the different projectors and setups perfectly, and to make the mode switching very quick and precise. The motors are very silent, and it takes around three seconds for lens to go from ‘in’ to ‘out’ position. The remote controller has two powerful IR LEDs, which can effortlessly control the lens, even in the very largest theater rooms. The IR commands can also be transferred to a universal remote control.

C-150 Series

The C-150 lens with a cylindrical optics produces a fixed 1.35 x horizontal expand to the projected image, thus supporting perfectly a constant height 2.40:1 setup. A very large aperture 4-element optic system allows for throw ratios down to 1.25. To adjust a razor sharp focus of no compromise, the lens has a continuous focus correction for throw distances down to 2 meters, and the focus does not change when removing the lens for 1.78:1 material.

All the air-glass surfaces have broad band anti-reflection coatings to prevent reflections and ghosting, and to maximize the light output of the projector.

The C-150 series has a remote controlled focus adjustment, which makes control easier and to get focus exact, especially with long throw distances or ceiling mounted setups. The motors are very silent, and it takes only a few seconds to adjust the focus perfectly. The remote controller has two powerful IR LEDs, which can effortlessly control the lens even in the very largest theater rooms. The IR commands can also be transferred to a universal remote control.

The lens is available in black-finished aluminum. Both shelf and ceiling mounting are usable. As a nice feature, the housing has a removable bottom plate, making it convenient to clean the optics from both sides.
